Security at all times - thank you for SECUREX 2024!

The exhibition spaces of companies and institutions covered all aspects related to broadly understood security: from uniformed services, through fire protection, alarm systems, perimeter protection, to physical protection. The main theme of this year's edition of the SECUREX Fair was "A secure future. Unconventional solutions in the security industry".

The 1st International Technical Security Congress "In Search of Innovation and Good Practices" took place on all three days of the Fair. This is the first event of this scale in the history of the Securex Fair, providing a space for dialogue between security and technical security industry experts, solution and service providers, designers, installers and end customers. During the meeting, several thematic sessions, debates and practical workshops in the area of technical security and physical security were held in three spaces. Moreover, as part of the Congress, the Championship of Alarm System Installers was organized under the substantive patronage of the Polish Chamber of Alarm Systems.

In the changing security environment, in addition to presenting modern solutions and building business relationships, we focus on enriching the substantive layer of the Fair. The current times have shown a huge need to strengthen the security of public utility facilities and critical infrastructure, so we will try to respond to this need in two ways. By joining forces with substantive partners, we are creating a completely new event, giving a strong impulse for the industry, combined with a solid dose of substantive content - says Paulina Maniecka, director of the Securex project. During the Congress, several hundred experts in the field of technical security and representatives of public utility facilities, key facilities for state security, commercial facilities, government and local government administration, state security institutions, as well as Polish and foreign scientific and expert centers exchanged knowledge and experiences in the field of security. and protection. The event's speakers included: representatives of NATO structures, public security institutions, specialists in the field of technical security, cybersecurity and physical security, including: Maj. Gen. in rest prof. Ph.D. Bogusław Pacek, or the former commander of JW GROM, reserv. Col. Piotr Gąstali. Additionally, the organizers have prepared numerous workshop sessions - open to anyone interested - allowing you to acquire knowledge, skills and competences in the field of personal security, responding to attacks and first aid, as well as attractions such as collector's weapon shows and shooting competitions conducted at the laser shooting range.

During the Congress, we discussed contemporary security conditions, the resistance of public utility facilities and critical infrastructure to modern war, hybrid and terrorist threats, and city security - adds Marcin Kożuszek, representative of the Congress organizers, Safety Project. We also talked about the challenges related to system design and integration, the increasingly common use of drones and cybersecurity issues. An important element of significant value to the participants of the meeting were discussions on the implementation of the DORA, CER and NIS2 directives, which will affect the way of designing and implementing activities related to physical protection and technical security of facilities.

Undoubtedly, combining six well-recognized trade fair events into a block of several days, whose participants learned new products and acquired the latest knowledge, was an intense time. The organizing team was pleased to receive numerous positive opinions about this year's edition, often hearing that the Securex Fair is undoubtedly a much-needed meeting, giving the industry drive and inspiring development.
